Weird Dream!!!

So last night I had the weirdest dream about Greyson Chance. He tweeted he was in KL last night. Then that night I dreamt about me and my family going there for one of his concerts. When we got there, I saw Greyson and he was using shaving cream and silly string to shave some of his hair off into a bizarre haircut. Then, I got into trouble with security (No surprise there! LOL!) for not being in the right area. I entered some weird thing to win a date with him and some other girl won. But apparently people named “Avery” won the contest every year for four years. I then hugged Greyson. (IDK why…I WOULD BE WAY TOO SHY!) He seemed weirded out so I felt sad and offended. Then I had a dance party. All of a sudden, my legs turned into “crooked legs”. I was freaked out. My dad drove off with my sisters: JoJo [Jordan] and Ryan, leaving my mom and I there. I started running and caught up with the car. I jumped into the back really fast, feeling very guilty about leaving my mom behind. Then I woke up thinking: “What is with me and these weird dreams?!?”

Joplin, MO Tornado

On the evening of May 22, 2011, the sixth EF-5 (not including F-5s) ever touched down in Joplin, MO. There were 200+ mph winds with the storm and the damage was unfathomable. As a result, 141 people have been killed by or by the effects of the tornado, including 3 recent deaths in the hospital from injuries.

There have been seven EF-5 tornadoes since the Enhanced Fujita scale was advanced from the Fujita scale in February 2007.

Scary Close Call!

OMG!

Living in Athens, TX, it is not unusual to have bizarre weather. In the winter we have very cold weather (at least to us Texans) at about 20°F-50°F each year, sometimes more or less depending on certain conditions. In the spring we have about 2-8 (more or less) close tornadoes with 60°F-80°F weather. Summer calls for brutal heat that we are immune to(85°F-110°F). Then with fall comes beautiful, perfect 60°F-80°F weather with the chance of possible tornadoes.

Anyways, we got a taste of some of the tornado outbreak. On April 26, we were under 2 tornado warnings. We took shelter when we heard about a tornado about 7 or 8 miles away in nearby Crescent Hills. I as an amateur meteorologist, wasn’t expecting the tornado to have a path much more than .5 to 2 miles long or less, but the tornado had other plans. It came within .7 of a mile from our home. It was in our friends’ yard. The tornado then did something incredibly bizarre. It picked up their trampoline and spun up about ¼ the way up into the funnel cloud, dropping the trampoline into their pool before dissipating. The funny thing was the pool furniture wasn’t moved at all! Their house sustained no damage thankfully! 🙂

Once again, my thoughts go out to all the families affected during this terrible outbreak disaster. 😦

Luv ya!

♥,

Avery 🙂 🙂 ♥

North Carolina/South Carolina/Virginia Tornadoes

South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia

On April 14-16 nearly 200 tornadoes were spawned in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. There were at least 44 deaths with North Carolina accounting for about half of the fatalities. This will change NC history forever and ever. In 2008, there were 57 fatalities in another outbreak in NC. My thoughts are to the families who lost everything, and to those affected in any way.

Magnitude 9.0 Earthquake in Japan 3/11/2011

Horrific

On March 11, 2011 an incredibly strong Magnitude 9.0 earthquake rocked the west coast of Japan. The earthquake was north of Tokyo, but Tokyo still had damage, but it was not the worst. The horrific earthquake was caused when the Pacific Plate and the Eurasian Plate shifted causing grinding. The shift was powerful enough to change the record books forever! My thoughts go out to every person who has lost a beloved family member, pet, and to those who have been effected in any way during this tragic event. I’m very sorry, Japan.
